There is a Planning committee meeting at the town hall on Thursday 26th February 2015 which starts at 6 PM. It was thought this was when the Jubilee Free School application would be heard but it has been put back to the 19th March 2015. 6pm at the Town Hall.

Email from Maidstone Borough Council 18/02/2015

Thank you for your email and attached petition.

The finished draft report has now been discussed at length and it has been decided that there are still some outstanding issues that need addressing,, as such it has been agreed that the scheme will not be heard at this committee but the following committee in March.

I will endeavour to keep you updated on the progress of the application and forward all correspondence as requested.

Kind Regards

Dear Councillor

I write with reference to your recent request for an update on the above application.
Having joined the authority last week I have now had the opportunity to go through the file and can advise that there are in excess of 80 objections and 56 letters of support. I also  visited the site on Monday 19th January where I was able to meet the staff/chair of governors,  photograph the surroundings and familiarise myself with the issues.

I am now in the process of writing the report and expect this to go to the February 26th Committee  meeting.

Kind regards

Ray Deans
